About Us

Sit down at Lodge 2606 on Shore Drive and the first thing you notice is the water. Charlotte Harbor stretches out in front of the open-air tiki bar, and on a clear afternoon the light off the surface is the kind of thing you'd drive across the state to see. Visitors on vacation find their way here and wonder why they ever went anywhere else. Locals already know.

The Lodge came through the recent hurricane season with grit and community spirit, and today it's recovering strong. The new tiki bar draws a crowd every evening, drink prices stay honest, and a food trailer keeps the hunger at bay while the kitchen plans its return. Members and guests mix easily here. There's no pretension, just good people gathered around a shared belief that neighbors take care of neighbors.

Elks Lodge 2606 has been part of the Punta Gorda community through storms, rebuilds, and every ordinary Tuesday in between. With a 4.5-star rating across hundreds of reviews, the warmth you feel walking in isn't accidental. It's the whole point.

What We Offer

The waterfront tiki bar is the centerpiece right now, serving cold beer, cocktails, and soft drinks at prices that won't make you flinch. Happy hour feels like happy hour again. Grab a stool facing the harbor and let the afternoon go wherever it wants to go.

Beyond the bar, Lodge 2606 hosts a full calendar of member events, charitable fundraisers, and community gatherings that reflect the Elks' national mission of service. An on-site food trailer keeps guests fed while permanent kitchen operations are restored. Private event space is available for celebrations, meetings, and milestones.

Membership opens the door to reciprocal privileges at Elks lodges nationwide, volunteer opportunities, scholarship programs, and a local social network built on genuine mutual support. Stop by during open hours to learn how to join or to simply enjoy the view as a guest.

"We had the opportunity to visit this establishment today with 3 Elk members who wanted us to join. Our experiance was less than steller. The bartender was so rude the Elk members were embarrassed, the service was so slow that i can guarantee there is no way I would join the Elks. We were looking for a new place to enjoy, this was not it."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
